After a disappointing finish to the first FedExCup playoffs, Cameron Smith is in the headlines again. However, this time it is not for his golf or any news regarding his future on the PGA Tour. It is for his kind gesture in the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Meanwhile, Smith has been facing heat from fans, media, and fellow pros after his reports of joining the LIV Golf emerged. He has neither accepted nor rejected any of these reports, which enraged the fans even more. But his recent kind gesture at the FedEx St. Jude Championship has diluted the fans’ rage.

Fans considered Cameron Smith as one of the top and most likable golfers. However, he received a backlash after reports of him joining the LIV Golf Invitational Series emerged. But the 2022 Champion Golfer of the Year has neither confirmed nor denied the report and said he wants to concentrate on the FedExCup playoff.
Meanwhile, Smith’s errant shot hit a patron during the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Thankfully, the patron was unharmed, but sadly, his phone got damaged as the ball knocked it out of his hand. After such incidents, we usually see golfers signing a ball, glove, or other objects to compensate.
However, the Australian golfer went a step ahead and offered to buy him a phone. He wrote down the patron’s number and promised to buy him a brand new phone, which was an incredibly kind gesture from the golfer.

Meanwhile, Cameron Smith was in contention to win the event going into the final round. Even though he started with a birdie, he could not build on the momentum. He remained even-par for the day, but his kind gesture won the hearts of all the fans.
