When Chris Gotterup entered the Renaissance Club for the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open, many thought his fate was sealed. Who would be able to defeat Rory McIlroy on his continent? Minutes later, these people had their answer. Since then, the young American has not looked back, and he keeps climbing the stairs of success and money. Now, at the 2026 Sony Open, he gave a similar outcome.

Presently, his net worth sits over $1 Million, something he accumulated perhaps through his brand deals. Now, with his Sony Open win, he’ll take home a massive $1.63 million winner’s check. An addition of a million, outright, to his net worth is massive.

His official career earnings sum up to $6.6 million. The bulk of that came during last year’s campaign. Chris Gotterup made 19 cuts from his 28 starts and took home a massive $4.8 Million. The biggest pay came the day he defeated McIlroy. A round of 68-61-70-66 credited a massive $1.57 million to his account. Then he had a third place at The Open Championship, which gave him an additional $1.12 million. His last biggest cheque came from the TOUR Championship (T10), signed at $715k.

For the year 2024, his performance was decent. He made 13 cuts from the 26 starts and earned just $1.1 million in total. In 2026, if he wins the Sony Open, he will take an amount significantly more than this. The highlight from that year includes the win at the Myrtle Beach Classic. Firing a 22-under-par, Gotterup was able to collect a $720k cheque.

A single look from this will tell you the journey he has covered so far. Two years ago, the amount he took home after winning an event was the same as what he earned last year after finishing T10 for another event. In a true sense, Chris Gotterup has built his worth. And with that, a long list of brand endorsements, too.

Giant endorsements have followed Chris Gotterup’s performance. Among the many, Bridgestone Golf remains one of signifcant partnership. He signed with the brand in 2023 and extended the deal last year. Since the beginning, Gotterup has been committed to the brand’s TOUR B X golf ball and forged 221 CB irons.

He has also embraced Bridegstone’s MindSet technology. This, he says, helps him stay focused in high-pressure moments. That’s an important detail given how often his biggest paydays have come on demanding Sundays.

In addition to Bridgestone, Chris Gotterup has also signed a deal with Mastercard and CDW. The American is also often seen wearing Nike apparel on tour. Reports also say that he has ties to Rutgers Men’s Golf and Lincoln Financial.

For all these partnerships, the financial deal remains confidential. But a player of Gotterup’s stature would easily be receiving around $1 million from these companies. He is still early in his PGA Tour career, having just joined in 2024, but is sure to be a reliable player.
