The 2025 PNC Championship has been full of action even without Tiger and Charlie Woods in the field. Matt and Cameron Kuchar have been on the gas from the start, with the rest of the field trying to keep pace and a few teams managing to close the gap. As the tournament heads toward its final moments at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, the tension is building. That said, fans haven’t exactly had the smoothest viewing experience along the way.

The tournament’s broadcast has not been planned wisely by NBC. They chose to split live coverage of the tournament across NBC, Golf Channel, and Peacock, which has frustrated plenty of fans. Instead of settling in to watch, viewers are only getting an hour or two on one channel before the action shifts somewhere else.

Understandably, fans took to X to put out just how dissatisfied they are with the experience.

Netizens express their frustration over the bad broadcast of the 2025 PNC Championship

Splitting the broadcast of one tournament between multiple channels was never going to work. As one fan stated, “Having to watch the PNC on three different channels during the final round seems a little bit excessive, but maybe that’s just me.”

The coverage jumped all over the place. A couple of hours aired live on Golf Channel in the morning, then it shifted to Peacock for about an hour, before finally landing on NBC. Fans felt it would’ve been far simpler to keep the entire broadcast on a single channel.

One frustrated viewer summed it up while venting at NBC, writing, “@NBCSports hey nbc your coverage of the pnc sucks.  How about putting it on one channel vs three.  Makes me turn you off.”

Someone also said, “@GolfChannel  Every year the coverage of the PNC gets worse. Show the f——- golf!”

The golf coverage has been quite abysmal in recent years. The broadcast for last year’s Open Championship also received a lot of heat after NBC decided to show more advertisements than golf. They instead chose to watch it on Sky Sports.

Besides that, some believe that the PNC Championship hasn’t attracted as much attention this year. As they tweeted, “The Tiger effect couldn’t be more on display this week. The last few years the PNC has been must see TV with endless social media chatter. Tiger and Charlie made it an event. This week crickets. When he debuts on the senior tour it will be nuts.”

Another fan also had a similar reaction as they wrote, “Not interested without Tiger and Charlie.”

Woods and his son drew a lot of attention in the 2024 PNC Championship. Fans were also quite ecstatic when Charlie Woods hit the first ace of his career before telling his dad he’s too broke to treat everyone to food and drinks after the round. However, the spectators at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club weren’t as enthusiastic this time around.
