With the golf season up and running, Brooks Koepka and family have been on their toes non-stop. Although 2025 wasn’t as happening for him, having missed back-to-back cuts in the opening two majors at PGA Tour, his US Open T-12 finish points at his resurgence. And when it’s break time at work and there are reasons to celebrate, the golfer found his way to pools and parks with wife, Jena Sims, and son, Crew. But he had June 17th circled on his calendar for some time now. His childhood favorite NHL team – Florida Panthers – were on their way to a consecutive Stanley Cup Finals. So, he packed his bag and flew to Sunrise as he has done almost every year. But instead of Sims, he had the company of another partner(s) in crime.
With the Panthers entering the Amerant Bank Arena to take on the Edmonton Oilers second year in a row and finally crushing their hopes again, many big guns of the sporting world made it to the viral videos. In one, the camera turned to another fellow golfer and Koepka’s friend– Dustin Johnson. He was, of course, with his wife and the daughter of NHL great Wayne Gretzky– Paulina. As the trio high-fived and celebrated every goal the Panthers made, one question blew up– “Where is Jena Sims?”
Over the years, the actress has supported her husband’s craze for his home teams, whether it is the NBA’s Miami Heat or the Florida Panthers. But after all the traveling, when an opening to finally stretch out and relax cleared up, she didn’t miss it. So, giving herself some much-needed me-time, Sims posted an Instagram story showing what she was exactly up to.

In the video, she was clearly in the ‘girl-time mood’ with messy bun, eye mask, and all cozied up in her PJs. What added to the whole dim golden-lighted atmosphere? Some red wine with Ginny & Georgia playing in the background on Netflix, and their beloved furry baby right by her side. She also shared some funny thoughts with her followers with the caption:

“When my husbands asks me if “I’m sure” I don’t want to go to the Panthers game tonight…” she began. Answering the question with the background note, she lip-synced, “Who are you talking to right now?!”
As for her typo in the caption, she made a cheeky clarification — “Totally meant singular….. two husbands does sound fun tho!” Well, whether in Sunrise or on her couch, Sims did cheer for Koepka’s team with a “Go P’s!”

With her quick wit and playful tone, Sims gave her fans a glimpse into her relaxing night in, and it seemed like she was having a blast without the Panthers game. Of course, she handles her job, her business, and their 2-year-old while Koepka is on the greens practicing too. A balance indeed. And this playfulness in their marriage is the reason why they have a happy and thriving bond with their little boy, who apparently is not a fan of his parents’ affection for each other.
Jena Sims believes her son, Crew, thinks his mom and dad are “gross”
During the US Open, Sims revealed a heartwarming yet hilarious moment as she and Crew supported the golfer. Then, in a post-game Instagram story, Sims shared a kiss with Koepka while Crew sat in his stroller, looking unimpressed. She captioned it with a humorous take on their son’s perspective: “Gross mom and dad!! Ewwww – Crew prob.” The adorable photo showcased a loving family moment, with a dash of humor added by Sims’ imagination of what Crew might be thinking. Although they are one of the funny families in the golfing world, they too have some emotional moments of accountability and appreciation.

Sims and Koepka’s love and respect for each other were evident in the sweet gesture, which came after a challenging period for the golfer. Koepka had been open about his struggles with form, admitting that it had taken a toll on his mood and relationships. “It drove me nuts. It ate at me. I haven’t been happy. It’s been very irritating,” Koepka said, adding that he had to apologize to those close to him, including his wife and son, for his irritability. “I’ve apologized to Rick, Pete, Jeff, Blake, my wife, my son, everybody.”
Despite the roadblocks, their love remains strong, and moments like these showcase the bond they share as a family. With Koepka’s recent form showing signs of improvement, it’s clear that having a supportive family by his side makes all the difference — and maybe Crew will get used to the “gross” displays of affection eventually? Maybe. As for the golfer, let’s hope watching his favorite NHL team win again will give him enough motivation to do the same himself.
