Is Billy Horschel a Swiftie? The internet thought so, and the on-course fans too asked him countless times while signing autographs. It’s the ‘FEARLESS’ bracelet on his wrist that piqued his curiosity. However, for the PGA Tour Pro, it means more than just Taylor Swift memorabilia.

Now, we all know there are swifties on the LPGA Tour. Brooke Henderson, Danielle Kang, and Andrea Lee all went to the Taylor Swift concert after the Blue Bay LPGA in China a month ago. What about Billy Horschel, though? Well, he is not exactly the ‘biggest’ Swiftie out there, but his wholesome story behind the bracelet has earned the internet’s approval nonetheless.

Horschel is the proud dad of three Swifties

It all started with an Atlanta concert that his daughters went to with his wife. “Taylor Swift is massive in my household,” Horschel admits with a smile. Skylar, his oldest daughter, made him the bracelet with three sisters’ names etched on it: “Sky, Colbs, and Axe.” But the next one, with a more straightforward connection to Swift, was rather coincidental.

Horschel, after missing the cut at THE PLAYERS Championship, felt he needed a reset. The seven-time PGA Tour winner wanted to be bolder and less apprehensive on the course. So, Horschel thought of writing ‘fearless’ with a sharpie on his wrist. But his wife had a better idea.

Brittany thought another bracelet would complement the one he already had. Furthermore, ‘Fearless’ was also Swift’s first re-recorded album. So, Horschel’s wife made him another bracelet with the words written on it. That has turned out to be his lucky charm so far. Horshcel had a T12 at the Valspar Championship and then a T7 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Now, Horschel clears he is not the biggest Swiftie out there. “It’s a cool little thing, but also just sort of puts me in the right mind frame of when I’m playing golf of what I want to be thinking about.” But more than the Taylor Swift connection, the behind-the-scenes story of a father fulfilling his daughters’ wishes melted the Internet.

Billy Horschel is the ‘best type of man’, fans deliver the verdict

Taylor Swift arguably has one of the biggest fan bases in the world; after all, not just anyone can cause an earthquake because of their concert like she did. And one such loyal fan took to the post and wrote, “As a swiftie, I have to say that I love it.

Horschel also earned praise for being a true family man. The 37-year-old proudly wears the bracelets, even though he is not a Swift fan. All because of his daughters and wife, and for that, he found himself some fans impressed with the sentiment alone. “Forget about Swift, it’s the story of a dad rocking things that his girls made for him,” wrote one user.

Another fan, too, found this a wholesome story of a father validating his daughters’ love. “Love this Swiftie/Golf crossover ❤️ Sounds like he has a wonderful family.”  And the golf pro’s love for his daughters and family is very evident through even his social media, where, aside from golf, he has many photos of his loved ones posted from time to time. His fans, of course, love that, and to them, being a family guy was the biggest compliment for a man. “A family man, the best type of man, a man can be. Top dog.

Horschel faced the wrath of the Internet after his altercation with some fans at the WM Phoenix Open went viral. However, this heartwarming family moment appears to have cleared the air for the 37-year-old. Horschel will tee up at the Valero Texas Open at 9.26 AM ET, paired with J.J. Spaun and Zach Johnson.
