You may be a global superstar in the eyes of millions. But you cannot run away from your commitments. Formula 1 legend, Lewis Hamilton, is no different. Back when he was in a relationship with American singer-songwriter Nicole Scherzinger, he was faced with a very common predicament.

As we know, Lewis Hamilton has not really been in a long-term relationship lately. However, when he was with Nicole Scherzinger, he was engulfed in banal duties, such as picking presents. Apparently, even Lewis Hamilton can’t get away from that one confusing decision. Hamilton could not decipher what he would give to his girlfriend as a Christmas present.

When quizzed about his Christmas present to Nicole, he responded, “I was just in the car thinking, what do I get her?”, he went on, “We did discuss that this Christmas we’d do something fun, such as having a set fee—$10 each—and you gotta go and buy as many or as little cool things, fun things, silly stuff.”.

Even though their relationship at its best was wholesome and endearing. It may appear from Nicole’s side of things that there is a bit of bad blood between the two. Naturally, this is in light of their split.

Nicole Scherzinger laments her approach in her relationship with Lewis Hamilton

After their break-up, Nicole Scherzinger has often come out and given her share of the story. However, once back in 2017, she called the 7-time World Champion out. Apparently, Hamilton was being self-centered in their relationship.

According to her, “As women, we tend to love the other person and give everything to them. But sometimes the other person–the man–tends to be quite selfish, so they’re thinking of themselves and doing what’s best for them and meanwhile we’re giving everything.”.
