The seven-time world champion described he chose the color yellow to go back to his roots in the sport. Hamilton raced with the same color during his go-karting days and in his McLaren days when he won his first World Championship.

He also revealed that his determination is still the same as ever, and the helmet is a sign of it. His tweet read, “For this year’s helmet I wanted to show love to my beginnings. As much as I love purple and black, yellow is my history. I’m going into this season with the same dedication, drive, and passion I had way back in my karting days.”
