F1 is a very cruel sport. Many drivers have lost their life trying to achieve results while pursuing their passion. However, many lost the chance to pursue their passion as they couldn’t achieve the result. Daniel Ricciardo has also become a victim of this cruel whirlpool of F1 that has a “perform or perish” motto. While the Aussie has got a second chance at redemption with a mid-season entry to AlphaTauri, he has exposed how Red Bull often advises this brutal performance-oriented mentality.

Nyck De Vries was given a warning, sort of like a yellow card by Helmut Marko earlier this season asking the Dutchman to improve his performance. However, De Vries didn’t improve much and got booted. Red Bull is known for being a little brutal with its drivers if they don’t meet expectations. Alex Albon, Daniil Kvyat, and Pierre Gasly are all very good examples of the same.

While Daniel Ricciardo was brought up by Red Bull who made him the F1 Star he is today, even he might not be safe if he doesn’t perform well. While Ricciardo suggests Red Bull has given him 2 races to adapt to the car, the brutal reality of Red Bull still got exposed. According to a YouTube video uploaded by Formula 1, Daniel Ricciardo said “They expect results, performance, but I think it’s hard to define that until I’m in the car. Will it be a P8? Will it be a P14? I don’t think there’s any pressure until the summer break. But I don’t expect a bad start either”

Yuki Tsunoda advised that the revised AT04 didn’t meet the expectations

AlphaTauri brought quite a significant upgrade to the British GP. Almost half of the car was new which included a revised floor and a wider engine cover. AlphaTauri’s performances this season suggest that they’re amongst the slowest cars on the Grid. Tsunoda wasn’t really happy with what the upgrades felt like. It’ll be a challenge for Daniel Ricciardo to extract points out of the AT04 in the current configuration.

According to Motorsport.com, Yuki Tsunoda said “So far, we can’t see the results that we are improving massively. So far, it’s not looking good. The result is no good so far. We feel definitely a couple of gains in some places but some places we didn’t improve that we expected. So, we have to look through it deeply.”
