Max Verstappen has all the reasons to be disappointed with his team, Red Bull. The reigning world champion has only won one race out of the last three. The Dutchman has failed to finish twice and was forced to retire his car. Seems like the rebranded Honda engines are not that reliable after all because this is costing the team a lot.

The car frustrated Max Verstappen

Max knew from the beginning of the race that catching up to rival Charles Leclerc will be a tough feat. Even before he retired on lap 39, the Dutchman was almost 5-6 seconds behind the Ferrari driver. The F1-75 showed incredible pace despite the porpoising. While the Mercedes wasn’t porpoising, it was surprising how Ferrari managed to keep the lead despite such violent shaking.

The 24-year-old was already having a tough weekend when this DNF completed the circle. Max sounded frustrated and said, “To be honest with you, the race promised me absolutely nothing, because we’re just terrible.”

Ferrari year? Maybe yes

Well, not very positive words from the world champion. While the Maranello camp enjoys, the Red Bulls are finding it hard to even keep up.
