Wolff, who had F1 under his control from 2014 to 2020, might have possibly grown up with this habit of always being the winner. In a report published by The Telegraph in 2021, the Briton shared about the Silver Arrows boss, “It’s a competitive business, and Toto’s a little bit of a control freak, as we can see.”

And the one thing he can’t control is Red Bull. I’m probably the only one to have no conflicts of interest with Toto. I can speak my mind and tell him what I think. He maybe finds that slightly uncomfortable,” further asserted Horner.

Toto Wolff calls Christian Horner a “windbag”

The conflict of interest between Christian Horner and Toto Wolff isn’t something new and there are always new developments to that story. In one such instance, Wolff called Horner a “windbag” as the spat between the two grew.

Before Horner called Wolff a “control freak” in 2021, the Mercedes boss hit the Red Bull with “a windbag who wants to be on camera.” The spat started after the flexible wing issue got the two bosses hit out at each other at Baku.

As per a report published by Planet F1, the Austrian executive stated, “Christian is a bit of a windbag… It’s about being punchy – it’s easy to be punchy when you’re on top of the timesheet, but he should be a little bit more modest I think.”
