Formula 1 was in the principality of Monaco for the seventh round of the 2022 season. The race is long over. However, the rumors surrounding it are still there. This time it’s around the former F1 Champion Nico Rosberg. Rumors have it that the former Mercedes driver was denied entry to Monaco’s F1 paddock.

But, Nico Rosberg’s team has denied the claim. Rosberg’s PR team has conveyed to PlanetF1.com that the 2016 F1 world champion “didn’t try” to gain access to the venue and any rumors surrounding him being denied entry is “not true.” Talking about this, a spokesperson conveyed, “This is not true. He didn’t try to get into the F1 paddock.”

“Nico Rosberg recovered from a coronavirus infection and currently holds a recovery certificate. He has his antibody levels tested regularly and, on the recommendation of his doctor, does not currently require any vaccinations. In addition, he continues to comply with all necessary hygiene and precautionary measures,” the spokesperson further stated.

If the claim about Rosberg being denied entry is true, it could well be because of the unvaccinated status is the former German F1 driver. Nico Rosberg chose not to get vaccinated as he had already suffered from Covid-19. Moreover, Rosberg’s doctor feels that the current Sky Sports F1 commentator has enough antibodies for it.

What did Nico Rosberg do in Monaco instead?

Nico Rosberg is a part of Sky Sports F1’s team of pundits. The former Monaco GP winner was often seen talking about races with a microphone in his hand. This year there wasn’t any difference as the former F1 champion has continued to share his expertise on live TV.

On the contrary, most of Rosberg’s interviews were conducted from his home in Monte Carlo. Even during the 2022 Monaco F1 Grand Prix, the German was seen doing his duties far away from the circuit.

In fact, the 36-year-old German spent time with Martin Brundle, another F1 commentator a few kilometers away from the track in Monaco.
