Acknowledging the same, Sebastian Vettel once stated that his door was always open should Mick feel the need to seek any form of advice from an experienced Formula 1 driver like himself.

The 4-time World Champion defended his compatriot earlier this month. He declared that this was the Haas driver’s first year and that a lot was yet to come.

Meanwhile, Mick talked about a trick that he has already learned from the Aston Martin driver, to record his thoughts in a notebook.

“I just like to take notes, now I also do it on an iPad, but I prefer pen and paper. When I work like this, it’s like writing it straight into my head, I can remember it better that way,” explained Sebastian Vettel that soon took cult status in Formula 1.

I saw that Mick has his notebook with him. Now I haven’t looked what’s in there, but I’m assuming that he makes a lot of notes about the technology,” confirmed Haas principal, Guenther Steiner.

However, with an illustrious name, comes great pressure. Sebastian Vettel understood the same and asked everyone to let Mick breathe and adapt to his environment.

“We shouldn’t expect too much from him. There is a lot that is going to rain on him. The first year is always very difficult and it is also not in an easy environment.”

“For the first year you should just let it do it. He is very important to me, of course, and if I can help him, no question about it, I will too,” said the Aston Martin driver.

Haas did not have the best time at pre-season testing. They are also coming off of a tough couple of seasons. However, no one can predict what will happen once the season kicks off on March 28, 2021. Do you believe Mick Schumacher will have a successful first season with Haas F1?
