Spanish media outlet F1 Desde Dentro firmly believes Wolff will hire Alonso to reignite their old McLaren rivalry and “crush” Hamilton. Desde Dentro also reported that Wolff and Co. will try and do everything in their power to make a competitive enough car capable of fighting at the front and provide Alonso with the best tools to achieve his dream as well.

We were young, immature and we had a lot of clashes,” addressing their only year as teammates. I don’t think we will ever be friends in the future. I don’t think we have many things in common,” added the two-time world champion.
