F1 recently released a video where George Russell, Lando Norris, and Alex Albon debated over who’s going to be the first world champion amongst them. Lando Norris’ talent is appreciated across the paddock and any team would want the young Brit in their team. However, Andrea Stella’s recent statement might just be enough to keep Norris at McLaren as the Red Bulls keep sniffing around Norris. What did Stella say? 

Lando Norris has been connected to Red Bull for months now. Ever since Sergio Perez’s form dropped, Red Bull has been speculated to be looking for a replacement. Even Liberty Media is believed to have asked Red Bull to sign a competitive second driver. Both Norris and Red Bull members have made comments in recent times that showcase interest from both parties. Norris even went as far as saying that he’d like to be Max Verstappen’s teammate. 

With the Red Bull rumors gaining traction, Andrea Stella recently came out with a banging statement that might make Lando Norris stay at McLaren. While Zak Brown insists that there is no exit clause in Norris’ contract, keeping a driver against his wish will only have a negative effect on the performance. Stella chose to show Norris the positive side of McLaren and the 2023 season as he shared the aim of fighting at the top. 

According to @TheMcLarenZone’s tweet that quoted RacingNews365, Andrea Stella said, “As we head into the Qatar Grand Prix week, it’s important to acknowledge how far we have come in the season. Achieving a P2 and P3 in Japan was not an easy task, but it was made possible by the quality of the teams’ work at the factory and trackside [at Suzuka]. We’re more determined than ever to continue improving, as we work towards being consistent in fighting at the top of the field.”

McLaren has indeed made great leaps throughout the season. If the trend continues, the Papaya team might very well be a constructor’s winner. And while Norris may hint at wanting to race at Red Bull, his heart still is at McLaren.

Lando Norris wants to achieve his ultimate dream at McLaren

Charles Leclerc recently mentioned that it is his dream to win the world championship wearing the Ferrari red. Lando Norris seems to have followed Leclerc’s footsteps as the Brit made statements advising his loyalty to McLaren. The Brit advised he wants to win the title with McLaren.

According to Motorsport-Total.com, Lando Norris said, “I’ve always said that I want to win with McLaren. And I think we’re getting closer and closer to that goal. I want to make it with McLaren. I’m very happy there. So if I spend ten or 15 years there I would never say no,”
