The tribute reel came in the form of a meme-styled video where Smith pasted the face of Lewis Hamilton to his own in the car driving shot in Bad Boy II. The actor also tagged Lewis and captioned the reel “Hahaha @lewishamilton pulling up for the 2025 season 😂.”

The iconic scene from the film has Will Smith dodging cars in a high-speed truck chase. What makes things more interesting is that Smith is driving a Ferrari in the clip. Smith, when asked about his favorite in Formula 1, declared, “I’m team Lewis! That’s my guy, that’s my guy.”

Will Smith mentioned that he was suffering from a sore voice due to being out the previous night. Despite the hoarseness, he affirmed his allegiance to Lewis Hamilton, stating, “I was out last night, so I lost my voice a little bit. But I’m always team Lewis.”

Martin Brundle inquired if Will Smith had plans to be part of the new Formula 1 movie currently in production. Smith expressed his interest, saying he hasn’t been asked yet but would love to be involved. He humorously mentioned needing to work on his gut to fit into the car.
