To have 1000 hours spent on getting an outfit customized, only for it to be criticized by almost everyone, must sting. That’s precisely what happened when Kim Kardashian turned up at Louis Vuitton’s 2024 Menswear Spring Show in a camouflage outfit that matched LV’s creative director Pharrell Williams’ suit. Kardashian posted a picture with Williams and Lewis Hamilton on Instagram, and the outfit received backlash, to say the least. But how did Hamilton feature in the picture?

The LV show in Paris was Pharrell Williams’ debut as the new creative director of the luxury brand after being chosen in February this year. Hamilton and Williams have been friends for over a decade, supporting each other throughout that time. So in the two-week break before the Austrian GP, Hamilton flew to Paris to attend and support his friend.

In the star-studded event, Lewis shared front-row seats with Jaden and Willow Smith, children of Hamilton supporter and actor Will Smith. While Pharrell Williams and Jay-Z were lighting up the stage with their musical performance, the three of them were vibing to them.

But it was before the event that Hamilton was photographed with Williams and Kardashian. And the picture posted by Kardashian received backlash for more than one reason. Many F1 fans quickly made the connection to the “Kardashian curse,” which is a belief that anyone who dates a Kardashian will face terrible luck if their relationship ends.

And people couldn’t stop speculating how the remainder of Lewis Hamilton’s season would go. But that wasn’t the main focus of the criticism Kardashian was facing. It was, in fact, because of her outfit, and users didn’t hold back while doling it out.

Was Kardashian’s outfit Minecraft-inspired?

Lewis Hamilton turned up in Paris in an all-black outfit with a Damier-pattered LV jacket. While his outfit looked classy, fans couldn’t help but criticize Williams and Kardashian for their matching green pixel camouflage outfit.

One user compared Williams and Kardashian to “grass blocks.”

But most of the users were confused about whether or not the outfits were Minecraft-related. Minecraft is a game made of blocks, and players can build whatever they’d like from blocks.

The confusion is understandable given the outfits the pair was wearing, with blocks printed on them.

But one user absolutely did not like what Kim was wearing and basically called the outfit hideous.
