Singapore is often the place where Formula 1 events can be quite exhilarating with celebrities from around the world performing on the center stage. However, amidst the country’s absence over the past couple of years due to the pandemic, a new F1 Grand Prix is in line to take over the mantle; Saudi Arabian GP.

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix had been in the making over the past 2 years and is now ready to host its first-ever F1 race, later this season. Jeddah will be slotting itself between two other Gulf countries, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
Celebrating the inaugural F1 appearance, Saudi Arabia has affirmed that a handful of world-renowned singers will be performing at the Jeddah Corniche circuit following Saturday’s qualifying and Sunday’s main race.
Which celebrities will be performing?
According to Arab News, the Grand Prix organizers revealed that singers, Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo will be offering the fans much-needed celebrations during the non-racing hours.
Apart from the duo, other singers like Tiesto, ASAP Rocky, and David Guetta, will also be sharing the stage over the weekend.

Derulo and Tiesto’s performance will take place on Saturday, following the qualifying session. Meanwhile, the remaining trio of Bieber, Guetta and ASAP Rocky will be pulling off their own respective performances following the main race on Sunday, offering a proper closure to the 3-day event.
Will F1 fans enjoy the Saudi Arabian GP?
It’s quite hard to say! Yes, Jeddah is certainly a visually appealing city, and the circuit, too, looks absolutely fabulous. On top of that, the Jeddah Corniche circuit is hardly meters away from the seashore, which makes it look even more scenic.
So, thumbs up to the beauty of the circuit. Jeddah could very well compete with Monaco into producing a killer look to it. However, on the racing front, there is massive uncertainty. The track has a mammoth 27 turns in total, almost double the number of turns compared to Istanbul Park.

Hence, there are insufficient overtaking opportunities. And the fact that the circuit is designed by Hermann Tilke raises further questions. But, of course, it is too early to judge. With hardly two months to go, let’s wait and watch how successful Jeddah is proving to be.
