Well, it looks like the Silver Arrows have finally decided to give up a bit of self-respect and observe the Red Bull as they try to find a way to the top. The rule changes in 2022, which introduced the ground effect cars have dethroned Mercedes as the dominant power, putting Red Bull in the prime seat. Unable to produce a competitive car for 2023, Mercedes has been running around like a headless chicken and has already scrapped their current concept in favor of a new one after criticism from Lewis Hamilton. They also reinstated James Allison as the TD as a part of the plan to find pace again.

James Allison was the technical director in 2021 and was responsible for producing Mercedes’ last championship-winning car. With new major upgrades inbound for Emilia Romagna GP, a new revelation has been made. However, the new revelation will only be available once the Imola updates are applied to the car.

Mercedes supposedly understood Red Bull’s technique about how they stall the rear wing on the straights to increase the efficiency of the DRS. This would come as a huge boost as Mercedes does struggle a lot in the speed traps. According to the Tweet, the updates are due to arrive around the Canadian GP, which is a little over a month away.

Many fans suggested that it’s all because of James Allison’s return, suggesting he’s going to make the W14 a rocket ship of a car.
