“It’s been a crazy few days which have been filled with a whole range of emotions. But as you all now know, after an incredible 11 years at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, the time has come for me to start a new chapter in my life and I will be joining Scuderia Ferrari in 2025,” wrote Lewis Hamilton on Instagram addressing his shocking move to Ferrari. And while that has settled in, the predictions haven’t stopped pouring in.

Hamilton is currently facing the worst season of his illustrious career. The Mercedes team just hasn’t been able to deliver despite his numerous pleas and feedback. And now when most of his fans are just wishing for a fast-forward to 2025 and new beginnings, former Aston Martin Strategist and Sky F1 Pundit Bernie Collins has given all of us a reality check.

Talking on the Fast and Curious Podcast, Bernie Collins made a prediction. Talking about Lewis Hamilton’s future, she said, “I think the Ferrari step for him is gonna be a massive challenge.” She went on to substantiate her statement, saying, “He has never driven a Ferrari-powered car. All of the engine modes, all of that is different. Yes, Fred is there but it is gonna be difficult.”

This can be discouraging for a lot of Lewis fans, but we will just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, Charles Leclerc is also bracing himself for what’s to come.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be teammates in less than 8 months. And this driver pairing is going to go down in history for sure. A 7x champion pitted against the man who hasn’t yet won 7 Grands Prix can be intimidating for the latter. However, fastening his seat belts, Charles Leclerc has made a declaration ahead of 2025.

“Of course, I will learn from Lewis,” Leclerc told Fox Sports Australia. “It’s also an opportunity for me to show what I’m able to do, which I take as an exciting challenge. I think it’s going to be great. “I knew [for] quite a few months that it was a possibility, that it was on the table. It was still a surprise to learn that there was [an] opportunity of this happening.”
