It was as smooth as it gets as Carlos Sainz secured the second race win of his career. The Spaniard drove incredibly and with a brilliant tactical approach right till the end. Sainz was brilliant throughout the weekend and deserved the win, especially after his tactical approach to the race. The first stint where he got tactical help from his teammate Charles Leclerc and from old teammate Lando Norris till the very end. However, this help from Leclerc did not pay any dividends as a Ferrari 1-2 tuned into 1-4 thanks to a poor pitstop. This has made the Tifosi disregard Sainz’s win and sympathize with their favorite Ferrari man.

There is no doubt Leclerc is the Tifosi’s favorite as all the expectations of ending the championship drought are on the shoulders of the Monegasque. This is exactly why, as seen on X, Leclerc’s interview put Sainz’s victory second in the eyes of the Tifosi after he made the admission of all the untoward incidents of his race.

“I knew this race was going to be difficult for me from the first stint. I had to protect Carlos. We had a slow pit stop, which put us on the back foot,” said Leclerc.

“It was great team management in the first stint, but in the end, it was up to me to do a better job yesterday,” added the dejected Monegasque. Leclerc has always showcased his ambition to do better and fight for wins. However, whenever he gets close, luck always comes back to bite him.
