Ferrari is a name synonymous with racing. The racing heritage at the Scuderia is unparalleled. It’s as if racing is the DNA of Ferrari. Yet, there hasn’t been any major success for the F1 team in over a decade. Frederic Vasseur was brought in this year to fix things, but his effect will only be fully known in the upcoming season. Yet he was hailed for upholding a $3.9 Billion marketing genius. But why?

Nonetheless, the former Ferrari boss hailed the Maranello stable for not changing its marketing approach. Eddie Jordan explained how Ferrari doesn’t do any sort of advertising, unlike other car brands. The only advertising that Ferrari does is through their $3.9 Billion Formula 1 team. And that they have not changed their approach despite the miserable decade and a half that has been filled with disappointment.

Jordan further advises how, despite the poor performances in F1, Ferrari still has the highest recall rate, which tells a lot about the fans, customers, and the name Ferrari. He went on to explain how Scuderia’s approach shows valor and their belief in themselves. Ferrari themselves know about their racing pedigree and will sooner or later win something.

According to the Formula for Success podcast, Eddie Jordan said “I’m not sure if the people realize, you’ve got one of the biggest brands in terms of the recall rate in the world, there’s not much bigger. And then, they have never ever advertised, you’ll never see a paper, a magazine of any description l. Everything that they’ve ever done is through Formula 1. And I applaud them for that because it shows huge courage, but also, belief in the sport and belief in themselves.”

Charles Leclerc praises Frederic Vasseur for creating a bubble

It is believed that Ferrari is indeed a difficult team to manage. Purely because of all the extra media attention. It is believed that the media can very well affect what’s going on inside Ferrari. As a result, Frederic Vasseur has created a bubble that will help to subside this and help the team focus on the goals rather than the media.

According to motorsport-total.com, Charles Leclerc said, “I think we’ve created a bubble where we don’t let what’s happening outside influence us too much, and that’s really good. I think Fred was really on board and immediately understood that the media could influence the team in some way in the past, and that was one of the focus areas at the beginning of the year.” [Translated via Google]
