Remember when Lewis Hamilton and Shakira were rumored to be dating? Whenever the Colombian pop star made her way to a race weekend, Hamilton seemed to extract a good result. The conclusion: Shakira was Hamilton’s good luck charm. Well, it looks like Lady Luck is making her way around the paddock once again. This time, she’s come as Scottish model Rebecca Donaldson, standing strong alongside Carlos Sainz.

The couple reportedly started dating just weeks before the summer break. The summer break all but confirmed the relationship. Since Formula 1 has returned, Sainz has been a different driver. After his stellar performances in Monza and Singapore, the implication was pretty clear: Rebecca Donaldson is his lucky charm. Following the Spaniard’s Singapore GP exploits, it made sense they were celebrating. What didn’t make sense was Charles Leclerc stealing their limelight.

Carlos Sainz lit up the club after lighting up Marina Bay

The Singapore GP established Sainz as one of the most genius drivers on the grid. His masterclass of a strategy that he executed to perfection sealed his second career win. Having started on pole (just like in Monza), he handled the race beautifully from start to finish. He revealed how, even though he was under pressure, he felt in control throughout the race. Considering the Singapore GP is the most grueling race on the calendar, he got the win and hit the clubs to unwind.

Per an Instagram post by @f1gossippofficial, Sainz and Donaldson headed to Amber Lounge, Singapore, to celebrate. The video had two clips showing the couple talking to each other and having a good time. The post was captioned, “Carlos and Rebecca enjoying a night out in Singapore!” What—rather, who—wasn’t seen in the post was Charles Leclerc. Despite the visible absence of the Monegasque, one of the clips said, “Just @charles_leclerc in 2 steps away 🫰🏼🙏🏼 🏎️”

Needless to say, Instagram users were confused about Leclerc’s whereabouts. While he might’ve been in the same club, the video showed just Carlos and Rebecca. How did Charles even come into the picture? Fans expressed their confusion in the comments.

“Where is Charles?” was the question on everyone’s mind

The night was obviously about Carlos Sainz. He deserved it, and it looked like he was enjoying his time with Rebecca as well. The last thing anyone would’ve predicted would’ve been Leclerc somehow stealing the show. Especially following his disappointing P4 in the race. But the mention of Leclerc had everyone thinking about the Monegasque rather than Sainz and Donaldson.

Some users pointed out how Leclerc wasn’t even in the clip, and one mentioned that since they have the same name (Carlos and Charles are the same in Italian), it doesn’t really make a difference. Here’s what they said: –
