Heading into the 2023 F1 championship season, the Las Vegas GP has to be the main event. The race is the newest addition to the calendar and the third addition to the American subcontinent. There is already plenty of excitement about the race toward the climax of the season. However, no one knows how the entire weekend could turn out. It could be a hit or a miss from the weekend that is still in the making. This is exactly the concern of some fans who are reacting to the latest news regarding the Vegas GP.

The news, as reported by journalist Vincenzo Landino via a tweet makes an interesting revelation about Las Vegas GP’s longevity. As per the tweet, Clark County, Las Vegas’s local jurisdiction body, has unanimously voted to make an annual event. Despite the three-year contract with F1, Clark County welcomed the Grand Prix until 2032.

One reason could be the heavy investment from the owners of the sport, Liberty Media. They are the sole and main promoters of the event. F1 has also purchased 39 acres of land to build a 250,000-square-foot paddock building. This heavy investment is coupled with philanthropic efforts to build the local community as well. This heavy investment has a big social impact which would’ve been Clark County’s vote.

Vegas’s extravagant packages are already all set to rob the tag of Crown Jewel of F1 from the Monaco GP. Such commitment to the race that is yet to come is making the fans feel a little skeptical.
