Lewis Hamilton is one of the best of all time without a doubt. With seven world titles in his bag already, he’s experiencing the pinnacle of success. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is on the brink to become another top global success as well. The 24-year-old just won his maiden world championship by defeating the mighty Lewis Hamilton.

Talking about their comparison, Coronel conveyed, “We should really just put Lewis and Max in the same car. Then you get the Prost-Senna effect.”

Factually, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna were two of the best drivers of their generation. Senna, the Brazilian star driver, has won three world championships while Prost won four times.

The duo has given the world some scenes of intense rivalry when they were together in McLaren. They were teammates in the British team in 1988 and 1989 and the rivalry continued until Prost joined Ferrari in 1990.

Only Lewis Hamilton can partner with Max Verstappen?

The Dutchman has also stated that Sergio Perez, or Pierre Gasly for that matter, isn’t the right man to partner with the superfast Max Verstappen. The only person to go on equal terms with Verstappen right now is Hamilton, the 49-year-old expressed.

Gasly couldn’t compete with Max either, even tried a completely different set-up with that Red Bull, then it went from bad to worse. Perez had the same thing. Gasly couldn’t handle it, Perez couldn’t handle it. They were both wrong about it,” the Dutchman has further asserted.
