During the 2023 season, Carlos Sainz revealed how he would want to start the 2024 season with the guarantee of his future beyond that. His current contract with Ferrari ends after the 2024 season. It is believed that Carlos Sainz has asked Ferrari for a multiple-year deal, but the Scuderia are only interested in offering him a one-year extension. Regardless, all these are just rumors. But now, Papa Sainz has spoken about the Ferrari contract.

According to @FormulaDirecta’s Tweet, Carlos Sainz Sr. said,At Ferrari they have let us know that they are happy with Carlos. I imagine that now, at the beginning of the year, the renewal process that is underway will continue.” Sainz Sr’s words act like a ray of hope for all the Sainz fans and Tifosi and shed some much-needed light on the Spaniard’s contract situation.

Frederic Vasseur spills beans on the Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz’s contract delays

A few weeks ago, Carlos Sainz expressed his love for Ferrari in an interview where he suggested that Ferrari is the best place to become a world champion. Frederic Vasseur also elaborated on why Ferrari wasn’t able to have the contract talk. He advised on how the 2023 season was full of action and very hectic, with all the focus on the development of the car and being able to match the Red Bulls. He added that there is no rush for the contract and that it will happen in due time.

Frederic Vasseur said, “We are not in a rush to extend the deals but [we] have started discussions. Mercedes did it in August. We are not in a rush at all. This season, I was expecting to do it before the end of the year. But the season was a huge one and we have started the discussion. But, again, we are not in a rush.”
