Sebastian Vettel is one of the most successful F1 drivers of his generation. The German is also the youngest World Champion in F1 history. Without a doubt, the 4-time world champion has written his name in the history books. However, it was not all smooth sailing as a kid for Vettel.

As a child, Vettel one day took a trophy that he might have won in karting to school. However, instead of being met with excitement by his classmates, he was met with some harsh comments. A clip of a young Vettel talking about the incident has been doing the rounds of the internet.

In the clip, Vettel says, “Once I took a trophy to school, but they destroyed it immediately and called me a show-off”. 

Although it would have been a traumatic experience, Vettel managed to put this behind him.

Since then, he has gone on to absolutely dominate the sport in his prime. His 4 consecutive world titles are a testament to his talent and acumen.

Fans react to a young Sebastian Vettel opening up about his bullies

Vettel’s career has seen many versions. All with varying levels of success. He is one of the favorite in the paddock and has millions of fans. However, that was not always the case. As a child Vettel, was bullied for his success. In a recent clip, Vettel revealed his traumatic experience as a kid when his classmates broke his trophy and called him a show off.

The fans on the internet felt heartbreak after seeing the video. And they didn’t shy away from letting their feelings known. They took to Twitter to express their appreciation for the former Red Bull driver.

One fan turned the gun on the bullies. And he probably speculated right, as they would be the ones bragging about being Vettel’s classmates.

In the end, Sebastian Vettel got the last laugh.

Talking about the current season, the German has not had a great stint. His time at Aston Martin has been underwhelming so far. Vettel will be hoping for a good showing in France that would get him and his team some valuable points.
