Ferrari started the season brilliantly, with powerful performances. However, the Italian team soon became victims of their unreliability and poor strategic calls. Ferrari not only lost the championship lead to Red Bull but also started lagging to challenge for the drivers’ championship.

The Scuderia despite a competitive car, is well out of reach in both championships. There have been plenty of examples of poor strategic calls in recent races as well. One is Carlos Sainz’s pit stop at the Dutch GP which cost him valuable seconds because of the tire mixup.
