The Golden State Warriors have done it again!!! They defeated Boston Celtics to take their 4th NBA championship in the past 8 years. Their win garnered praise from all quarters of the world, including from 7-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.

The Mercedes driver and F1 GOAT took to his Instagram stories to congratulate the Warriors on their championship triumph.

“Congrats Legends,” wrote the Mercedes driver on his story while congratulating the NBA champions.

The win was especially sweet for the team from the West Coast as they beat Celtics in Boston in an enthralling and entertaining Game 6. Celtics made a lightning start to the game and took an early and incisive lead.

But slowly but surely, the Warriors clawed back into the game with their precise play. And it was their star player and talisman, Steph Curry, who once again put in an incredible performance in the NBA Finals.

After taking the lead in the first half, the West Coast giants never really looked back, and they left the Celtics chasing them in the whole game. Steph Curry was once again named the Finals MVP after scoring 34 points in Game 6 and carrying his team. Curry was emotional after the match and mentioned that this win hits a bit differently.

“This one hits different for sure, just knowing what the last three years have meant, what it’s been like from injuries to changing of the guard in the rosters, Wiggs coming through, our young guys carrying the belief that we could get back to this stage and win, even if it didn’t make sense to anybody when we said it, all that stuff matters,” said Curry.

The win surely confirms Curry’s status as one of the greatest players of all time. He’s just one behind the great Kobe Bryant and two behind GOAT Michael Jordan. It would be interesting to see if, in the coming years, he can lead the Warriors to more NBA glory. Given his age, he can surely have a shot at matching Jordon’6 NBA Titles.
