When you are someone as famous as Lewis Hamilton, every aspect of your life becomes iconic. Although Sir Hamilton already has a lot in his arsenal in the ‘iconic’ department, be it fashion or music, his mid-race team radio conversations have also become somewhat famous and achieved that iconic status.

Specifically, his conversations with his trackside engineer Peter ‘Bono’ Bonnington. Bono often pumps the Briton up with some of his favorite punchlines, one of them being, “Get in there Lewis”.
Safe to assume, this phrase used by Bono is not limited to Formula 1, not anymore! Yesterday, on the opening weekend of the Premier League (PL), Brighton & Hove Albion took on Manchester United at Old Trafford.
For the unaware, United is a greatly successful PL club and arguably bigger in all regards compared to Brighton. Surprisingly though, Brighton beat United two goals to one in the opening fixture of the season.
Celebrating the win, Brighton’s Twitter admin shared a picture special caption referencing the Mercedes man.

The caption read, “Get in there Lewis,” with a photo of their captain and Englishmen Lewis Dunk.

The cheeky reference to Lewis did not go unnoticed, as it never does. The Hamilton fandom flooded the tweet with replies of appreciation and recognition from the football club.

Clearly, the popularity of the Mercedes man is not limited only to the sport of Formula 1. The clever wordplay with Hamilton’s reference is making a club from Brighton & Hove go viral.
