Ever since its launch, fans have been very curious about the Xbox Series S. The console launched as a younger and a little weaker companion to Series X, and fans saw little reason to go for it. But eventually, a trend started amongst some content creators, where they started showing off a very unusual feature of these new Xbox consoles.

This new feature allowed players to do unexpected things with these consoles. Thanks to this feature, the Xbox Series S gained some fan following too. And then some people found an easier way to engage that feature, which was somewhat unethical and was blocked by Microsoft. And now, this method is back in a very curious manner!

Emulators are back on Xbox consoles but in an unexpected avatar!

Long ago, while fiddling with the dev mode of an Xbox series console, some fans realized they could enable it to run emulators. This instantly made these new Xbox consoles some of the most powerful emulation devices out there. And this feature even gave some much-needed traction to the Xbox Series S, a console that people usually look down on.

While this was a very effective method, getting into development mode was not very simple or fast. People had to do a lot to get to that mode and start playing their favorite classic titles. And unsurprisingly, some avid fans decided to do something unique with it, they decided to make it so that fans could start using emulators without dev mode.

But it was, unsurprisingly, not a very ethical process. Fans were able to use Xbox emulators on their consoles through this method, but Microsoft was not very happy about it. And that’s why they simply found out how it was being done and blocked it. And that was the end of it.

But recently, another similar method has surfaced. A new group of developers has found yet another loophole in Microsoft’s system and exploited it to access Xbox emulators. But to be able to use this method, fans have to make sure they are subscribed to a service.

Many are pretty happy about it, but others suggest not using this new process given the fact that a service can always be at risk of being shut down if Microsoft ever discovers the exploit those developers are using.
