Live streaming platform Twitch has come under fire from a streamer on their platform. The Amazon-backed platform is notorious for handing out bans without prior notice. The platform has not spared even the famous streamers and banned the likes of Amouranth and PewDiePie multiple times without reason.

However, this time the platform did share the reason for the ban with the streamer. In response, the streamer has clapped back at Twitch for banning her for a mistake made by her elderly dog. This incident has also raised questions on the banning process of the platform and how it could be more inclusive for their streamers.

Streamer ‘Valann’ was recently surprised by a mail she received from Twitch staff. They informed her account was temporarily restricted due to the Community Guidelines strike. Furthermore, they also mentioned that multiple strikes may lead to an account suspension. The streamer was holding her elderly dog when Kouki accidentally pooped on her live onstream. While at that moment the streamer found this situation embarrassing and hilarious, the actions from her platform have caused her to lash out.

Overwhelmed by this ban, Valann took to Twitter to share her feelings, “My first time getting banned on Twitch because my 12-year-old dog, Kouki, accidentally pooped on my stream.” She also raised questions about whether this move from the platform keeps the community safe.

She said, “They don’t take the time to understand streamers can have senior dogs.” Her critical views towards her platform have received support from her fans. They are asking Twitch to revamp their review process to better deal with these grey area situations.
