In the process, it signed several streamers such as xQc and Adin Ross to the platform, in massive deals that shocked fans. However, it turns out the details of these deals have had a surprising impact on the success of Kick.

Streamer Trainwreckstv, a key figure within Kick, revealed exaggerated details of streamer deals were negative to Kick’s success. He reasons that it hurts deals being made with other streamers.

Trainwreck spoke about one of the biggest issues for the platform, at the moment, to be exaggerated details on streamer deals. These are damaging to Kick signing future deals with any other streamers. This becomes even more serious, especially since Kick is signing more streamers in a bid to increase the amount of traffic on the platform.

The entire issue started after Kick began signing streamers from other platforms. Names such as xQc and Adin Ross quickly penned deals that saw them earn millions. They were not the only streamers to do so, as revenue shares became a big problem with Twitch.

However, when streamers began announcing exaggerated details of their deals, things quickly went south for Kick.

Trainwreck explained the situation, where negotiations took a big hit in terms of how quickly they proceeded. Bigger streamers felt smaller streamers were being paid more, believing exaggerated numbers. Kick then has to clarify what the actual amount is and conduct the negotiations all over again. It became a massive headache for the streaming website.

Speaking about the matter, Trainwreck had this to say. “It’s good for media attention and it’s good for advertising. The numbers people say they are getting are really f**king up negotiations for other creators. Everyone is thinking how did he get this, I’m three times his size. He didn’t get this, he got one-tenth of that. You want three times one-tenth?”

Signing new streamers to the platform remains an important aspect of Kick. Despite the exaggerated numbers causing issues in negotiation, Kick continues its healthy growth and continues to compete with Twitch.
