Valve’ executive clarified they are not trying to compete with Switch, but instead the device is targeting high-end PC users. The device possesses amazing configurations, which can run high-end PC games.

Xbox head loves Steam Deck
According to a report by VGC, Phil Spencer has been spending time at Valve’s headquarters. The leader of the American gaming giant tried to run prominent Xbox titles on the device. Unsurprisingly, the handheld console impressed him, as the device ran the title at top-notch quality. He stated he spent his time conversing with Gabe Newell and Scott Erik. This news could produce amazing collaborations and the two giants of the gaming industry could collaborate fairly soon.
“Was @valvesoftware this week talking w/ Scott, Erik, Gabe about Steam Deck,” Spencer wrote on Friday. “After having mine most of the week I can say it’s a really nice device. Games with me on the go, screen size, controls are all great. Playing Halo and Age feels good, xCloud works well. Congrats SD team”

Steam Deck has already garnered fans within the gaming industry ever since it was announced. Epic Games’s CEO was also impressed with the device and praised valve for taking this move. He dubbed it an amazing move that will certainly help evolve the PC’s gaming ecosystem in a brand new market. Valve has also confirmed that it is trying to target an already established market, and it is not trying to compete with anyone else.
