A big part of what makes Call of Duty Modern Warfare II an enjoyable experience, apart from the gameplay, is the range of Operator skins and added bundles. Who can pass up a chance to play as legendary Task Force 141 leader Captain John Price? These Operator skins are a big part of the CoD ecosystem.

Developers took it up a notch, bringing Hollywood celebrities into the mix, with the addition of rappers such as 21Savage and Nicki Minaj. Joining them was a famous rapper Snoop Dogg, as fans enjoyed the idea of playing as the rapper while they fought to a victory. To their surprise, however, the Operator seems to have mysteriously vanished from the game.

Did Call of Duty remove Snoop Dogg?

Earlier today, a Reddit user attempted to purchase the Snoop Dogg Operator skin from the Warzone store. To their surprise, they could not find him anywhere in the store, leading gamers to believe Call of Duty had removed him.

There were a lot of conflicting views about what happened. Some speculated the skin just went out of rotation. That felt like the most logical reason. Skins have a history of going out of rotation, and coming back to the game at a later point in time. It made sense since the bundle was only for a limited time.

Another user pointed out the issue was with the game, not about the rotation of bundles. According to this user, the way to buy the Operator is by going to the Operator tab and selecting his image. It should allow you to purchase the skin. This is a much more plausible explanation since it has been just a month since the rapper came to the game.

Not the first time Snoop Dogg’s operator skin was a subject of controversy

Back when the bundle was first announced, a lot of fans were not exactly amazed. Instead of celebrity skins, they wanted to see creator skins back in the game. Streamers such as Nickmercs and TimTheTatman had their Operator skins removed from the game.

Fans argued these streamers were the ones contributing to the game’s popularity. They wanted them back, instead of celebrity skins of rappers. Phrases like ‘L Franchise’ became common among fans, as they protested the new bundle, promising not to buy it.
