Fortnite is a game that garners gamers from all over the world. While everyone logs in every day to enjoy this battle royale, one Fortnite gamer is no longer able to do so due to a ban. Epic Games has placed a 14-day ban on Cody “Clix” Conrod. It came as a surprise to Clix, and he resorted to social media to vent his frustration and confusion.

The ban placed on Clix has also shaken the Fortnite community. There has been a surge in support for the pro player, and Clix has also thanked the fans for being with him. In the recent reports that came to light, it is evident how much the fans are supporting Clix over the matter.

Fortnite loses viewers following Clix’s ban

In a Reddit post, it was detailed that the average number of Fortnite viewers on Twitch before the ban was around 59,000. Following the ban on April 24, this count has dropped to 42,600. This goes on to show how much influence Clix had over the game, with a significant 28% drop in viewers.

While some critics have come out and said the data is being manipulated in favor of Clix, they are stating the loss in viewership is not exactly due to the ban, but it may be a contributing factor. They believed the loss in viewership is due to competitive tournament schedules, with FNCS Major Qualifier 2 just ending on April 23.

Clix shares the toll of not playing in a Tweet

In a recent Tweet, Clix shared how a week into the ban has been affecting him. He feels he is going through withdrawal from not playing his beloved game.

The ban came at an unfortunate time for Clix. It has excluded him from playing in FNCS. He is also trying his best to reverse this ban decision by regularly contacting Epic Games. But the official verdict till now is that the ban will remain.
