Why did the devs reduce Cronen Squall’s performance in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II?
Cronen Squall was initially introduced in Season 3. It was promoted as a solid addition to the Multiplayer, and also for the battle royale mode. It quickly ended up becoming fan-favorite due to its amazing abilities to score headshots. For some users, it was also a little overpowered. And that’s the exact reason why the developers recently made it less impactful.

The YouTuber revealed that the battle rifle was nerfed for its overpowered nature in Warzone 2. Hence, the makers wanted the gun to be a little restricted in its performance. So they not only reduced its damage values for the battle royale, but also for the Multiplayer. Probably they were thinking of keeping it consistent across both the formats.

But TheXclusiveAce mentioned that doing this is not the best decision. Instead, the developers should have nerfed it down for Warzone 2 only. They shouldn’t have touched it when it comes to the Multiplayer format.

While expressing his disappointment, the YouTuber revealed that the gun has now witnessed a reduction in its fire potential when in semi-auto mode. Furthermore, now it won’t also deliver desired headshots due to the reduced damage. Not to mention, the range of damage has been nerfed as well.
