It’s April 1, and you know what day it is. A day when everyone is busy pulling pranks on each other, Innersloth also jumped in to join the fun as they brought back their cursed April’s Fool game mode into Among Us. In this mode, the players would be galloping around the maps instead of running around.

The Horse Mode isn’t something new, as Innersloth released this mode last year for Among Us on the same occasion. But, it looks like there would be some changes to the limited-time mode this year compared to its previous iteration. So let’s find out more about the changes that has been brought.

Horse Mode returns to Among Us, but with some changes

Innersloth revealed that Among Us players would get to access this special mode from March 31 to April 2. Last year this mode simply turned the crewmates into horses. However, there would be more to this mode this time around as Innersloth announced a Horse Wrangling mode.

The Horse Wrangling Mode would replace the Hide ‘n’ Seek game mode for this April’s Fool’s day. In this mode, the crewmates would become horsemates, meaning they would have horse-like bodies. Meanwhile, the one seeking in this mode would be replaced with a rancher.

Like in Hide ‘n’ Seek, the horsemates would be running around on the map or hiding in the vents from the Rancher. While everyone would be hiding, the Rancher would be looking around the map to catch them. However, the hiders would have a special meter that would help them escape the Rancher when one comes near.

Meanwhile, the Rancher would have a disadvantage because of its limited vision in the dark. But the developers didn’t leave the Ranchers with no power boosts, as they would be able to see the general location of every surviving horsemates.

If players don’t like this Horse Wrangling Mode, then Innersloth has kept the classic Horse Mode too. In this classic mode, the players would simply turn into horse-like beings and play the game normally.

Fans have mixed opinions about this mode

The Among Us fans are quite excited to try the mode again on the occasion of April’s Fool day. But some fans want Innersloth to make this mode permanent even for the regular days of this online multiplayer social deduction game.
