Final Fantasy IX Remake might release as a PlayStation 5 exclusive!
Years ago, Square Enix released a stunning trailer during a PlayStation 3 showcase and announced that a Final Fantasy VII remake was in the works. That game skipped that generation and was released recently for PlayStation 4, PC, and then PlayStation 5.

That game was as successful as it was good-looking. Fans could not stop appreciating every small change the developer made to it. The visuals of this game were pretty mind-blowing, too.

And now, Final Fantasy XVI is set to impress its fans and critics alike. The game is looking pretty impressive already. The developers have also moved from turn-based combat to tactical real-time combat. While fans await this game very eagerly, they also have a question in their minds: what next? Would the second episode of the Final Fantasy VII remake be released first, or would Sony and Square Enix all of a sudden announce the remake for yet another game?

The most sought-after classic Final Fantasy title has always been Final Fantasy IX. If they decided to remake it, the expectations would be sky-high. These expectations would be because of the quality fans have seen from games like XVI and Final Fantasy VII Intergrade.

Rumors have made it clear that this version would not make its way to the Nintendo Switch, but no one was expecting that either. Nintendo Switch would find it hard to run the game with such visual fidelity in the first place. Alongside this, games like Kingdom Hearts 4 might be in the works.
Here’s hoping these games see the light of day soon enough, fans would not mind playing the modern version of one of the best Japanese role-playing games ever made.
