But why was that incident took place? What was in the headspace of the attacker? Let us dive into that.

The attacker’s side of the story

According to the attacker’s claim, he was looking to settle a beef dating back to 2019 that appears to be a catfishing scam started by a fraud stealing Rollins’ identity. Spencer recalled how he first met Rollins at a meet-and-greet a few years ago.

Back then, he asked him for help to promote his career in the wrestling business. Things took pear shape after he started communicating on messenger services. In a bombshell confession, he revealed Rollins was asking him to send him gift cards in exchange for money. He bought $3,000 in cards.

Although the accused later issued an apology, realizing he should have moved on instead of launching revenge, but seemed to still be in the belief that the scammer was Seth Rollins.

Whether he was really in mental distortion or not and what happened to him later is still unknown to us. But Rollins’ effort to be this understanding of a fan’s situation is truly commanding.
