Ryan Garcia is geared to fight Devin Haney on April 20 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. However, he is not backing down from a fight against MMA start Sean O’Malley either. In a recent pinch, the Victorville native roped in Dana White to finalize a fight deal between him and Malley.

This isn’t the first time the two combatants are clashing heads! Previously, O’Malley had name-dropped Garcia and Gervonta Davis as potential opponents he could defeat down the line in his career. It prompted a heated feud between Garcia and O’Malley! However, after a recent conversation with O’Malley on social media, Garcia is ready to throw down.

Turning to X (formerly Twitter), Garcia shared a screenshot of a comment O’Malley made on one of his Instagram posts. “Brother, I KILL YOU within minutes,” wrote the bantamweight. In response, Garcia wrote, “[Sean O’Malley] say less for real set it up rainbow head.” A few minutes later, Garcia called out Dana White on X.

“Alright rainbow head, There is only one way to find out… Dana let’s do this,” wrote Garcia. While there’s no confirmation from White regarding this potential crossover clash, O’Malley has hopped for a Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor type fight for the longest time. At one point, he had even considered Garcia’s upcoming opponent!

Sean O’Malley claimed no one knows Devin Haney

O’Malley could not hide his desire to fight in a boxing match, so he even approached the UFC with the idea. Though UFC agreed to such a fight, the condition was the opposing fighter had to be a big name in the boxing world. In November 2023, the mixed martial artist claimed Devin Haney didn’t fit the bill in one of his videos on YouTube.

“I talked to the UFC about potential boxing fights someday. They’re like, ‘Nobody knows who Devin Haney is. There’s a zero percent chance that fight happens. No one knows him,’” said O’Malley. He further added that nobody can even differentiate between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney. For this comment, the bantamweight even got into a battle of words with Haney.

The best thing for Sean O’Malley right now is to wait for the fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney. And then try to arrange a fight with the winner. Since O’Malley claims Devin isn’t that popular, if he defeats Garcia that would change, and a crossover clash would be the talk of the town. However, as things are right now, finalizing a fight with Garcia still has a long way to go. Would you like to watch a clash between Garcia and O’Malley?
