Speaking of younger brother Jake Paul’s upcoming fight, Logan Paul reminisced about thirteen years old memory with Silva and Jake Paul. According to ‘The Maverick’, Silva was his and his brother’s hero for their “entire lives”. On one fortunate occasion, the two even had the chance to click a picture with him. Paul said, “Anderson Silva was our guy, our hero. We’d buy every single UFC fight he fought at. We went to a fight in Cleveland, Ohio one time and Anderson Silva was a special guest appearance. We knew he was going to be in a VIP section taking pictures.”

“Jake was like an 11-year-old, started flirting with one of the Ring girls. He convinced her to bring us up on stage and take a picture with Anderson Silva, our hero. We took the picture. Now 13 years later, we recreated the picture. It’s on my Instagram. Moments like that are so special to me like I live for Full Circle story arcs like that. I cannot wait to see what happens because this is a dangerous fight.

Logan Paul says Anderson Silva was their hero for their entire lives

As an elder brother to Jake Paul, Logan Paul feels proud to see him walk forward in life. ‘The Maverick’, who has joined the WWE, is more interested in the Jake Paul and Anderson Silva fight than he is in the Deji vs. Mayweather fight in November.

Paul said, “I’m more interested in the Jake Silva fight which we have not spoken about on this podcast yet. He’s fighting Anderson Silva, possibly the greatest striker in Combat Sports history, on October 29th in Phoenix, Arizona. Get your tickets. Jake is literally rewriting boxing history, and it is so cool as his brother to see how and fight someone who we looked up to for so long our entire lives.”

13 years ago, Anderson Silva was a champion in the UFC. Back in 2009, Silva fought and had victories over Demian Maia and Forrest Griffin. At the time, Silva had 25 wins and only 4 losses in the sport. He had wins against the legendary likes of Dan Henderson, Nate Marquardt, Chris Leben, and Rich Franklin. In the coming years, ‘Spider’ fought Chael Sonnen (twice), Vitor Belfort, and Stephan Bonnar.

When Jake Paul was only 11 or 12 years old, Anderson Silva was a legend in MMA and an icon of the sport. It will be exciting to see Paul step inside the ring with a living legend in combat sports’ history.
