The high priest of the virtual world, Logan Paul, has tasted commendable success in the NFT game. However, it was not always a bed of roses for the YouTuber turned boxer. In fact, he once lost over half a million dollars on a single NFT. Paul recently took to social media to pay tribute to his costly mistake.

In 2021, Paul invested in a 1/1 Bumblebee NFT from On1. Moreover, it was reported that the NFT cost him 188 ETH, which translates to a whopping USD 623,000. Paul had hoped to double his profits. However, fate had other plans as the NFT ended up being worth only USD 4000, resulting in a major loss for Paul.

He recently took to Twitter to pay tribute to the mistake that once cost him over half a million. As a 99 Originals NFT, he posted a picture of himself wearing a replica Bumblebee helmet. Notably, the helmet was made by the designer who made musician Marshmello’s helmet. Paul also added that it took two months to make and cost USD 20,000.

The NFT scene has been extremely kind to Logan Paul in recent times. In fact, he has made a commendable amount of money through NFT sales as a part of his project 99 Originals.

Paul sold ‘Original #85 The Last Blockbuster’ for 30.5 ETH or USD 63,652. Moreover, the piece was a tribute to the last Blockbuster LLC store located in Bend, Oregon.

Another notable piece was ‘Original #41 The April Fool’. It was reported to have sold for 37.69 ETH, which translates to an impressive USD 79,304. Notably, Paul was born on April 1, making the piece connected to his life.

The Bored Ape phenomenon has taken the virtual world by storm. So it comes as no surprise that Paul’s most expensive NFT sale involved the iconic character from the Bored Ape Yacht Club. His ‘Original #14 Bored Ape’ sold for 46.5 ETH or a whopping USD 104,557.
