Deontay Wilder is ready to get back into action after a year of inactivity. The Bronze Bomber last fought Tyson Fury in the third fight of their epic trilogy last October. He will now face off against the man who fought on the undercard of the trilogy fight, Robert Helenius.

Moreover, Wilder had a message for former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. In an interview with 78SPORTSTV, Wilder narrated an incident about Joshua, sending him a text message for a potential match.

The Bronze Bomber accused the British boxer of being ‘fake’, stating that he already had a fight ahead of him and had nothing to offer.

“He got a fight on his hand, he don’t need to offer me nothing right now nothing, nothing, not one thing.” said Wilder 

However, he then claimed that further down the line, a match could be possible. He also urged the fans not to believe in the rumors of potential fights like these and have a better understanding of the workings of the sport.

“Maybe down the line, we’ll come out something like that but don’t believe nothing you hear or say. That’s what I tell people yall don’t waste our time. We did that for six months, maybe longer. It felt like it was longer but y’all should know how to think, how things go down.” He said.

Lastly, he stated that this will not be the case after his return and promised that nobody will get fooled this time around. ” When the second reign come around. Ain’t nobody fooled that’s right you won’t be fooled you won’t be you know misguided or mislead.” He said.

This interview was done before Joshua’s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk. Now that AJ has lost twice to the Ukrainian, a fight against the Bronze Bomber could be the next step for him.
