A handful of hours remain in the ultimate clash of the heavyweights. Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, will take on the mighty Tyson Fury. In the lead-up to the fight, Ngannou remains at the short end of public favor due to his lack of experience in the sport. At the same time, Ngannou brought in Mike Tyson to help him bridge the gap between years of boxing and hard-hitting punches.

Despite the whole boxing world pushing him aside as an easy opponent for Fury, Ngannou and Mike have maintained a winning attitude. Moreover, even Fury has emphasized the potential danger Ngannou presents. However, the danger Ngannou presents might be even greater than Fury thinks it is. Why? Well, it’s because of a small piece of advice Ngannou got from his sparring partner. So the burning question is – what Ngannou’s sparring partner could have said?

Sparring partner claims proper boxing won’t help Francis Ngannou win the fight

While appearing in an interview with The Mayweather Channel, the reporter questioned Ngannou’s sparring partner, Carlos Takam, about what advice he gave to Francis. Takam promptly responded by claiming he told Ngannou that proper boxing strategy would not work against Fury. “I told Francis, you know what, you cannot fight with Tyson Fury like a proper boxing,” Takam said.

He went on to tell The Mayweather Channel what piece of advice he gave to Ngannou. “You need to dirty boxing with Tyson Fury,” said Takam.  Later in the interview, Takam claimed Tyson Fury is no easy opponent. “Tyson Fury is not easy, you know. It’s really not easy to fight,” said Takam.

Tyson Fury claims he can beat Francis Ngannou after downing 25 pints of beer

Whether Ngannou uses the strategy his sparring partner suggested he should is yet to be seen. However, Tyson Fury seems extremely confident that he can make quick work of Francis Ngannou. While the general consensus among people suggests the same, Fury’s remark during a recent interview suggests that the fight might not even last very long.

While appearing in an interview with TNT Sports Boxing, Fury recalled something he had said about Anthony Joshua. Fury asserted that he had previously claimed he could beat Anthony Joshua after drinking 15 pints of beer. So, Fury deduced he could beat Francis Ngannou after drinking 25 pints of beer. “I once stated that I could drink 15 pints of beer and still beat Anthony Joshua…so I’m going to go on record and say this – I could drink 25 pints of beer and still beat Francis Ngannou,” said Fury.

While alcohol usage is definitely not allowed before a fight, Fury might want to look out for the strategy Ngannou’s training partner has suggested the ex-UFC fighter should use. Although it’s unlikely Francis will win the fight, given Fury’s skills in the ring, even bigger upsets have happened in the past. So, we would like to know who you think will win in a handful of hours from now.
