For contex, John Fury was at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on February 17 to accompany his son’s comeback fight announcement against Arslanbek Makhmudov. The bout is scheduled for April 11 and already carries a ton of hype. However, during the event, former world champion Carl Froch reportedly asked some hard-hitting questions, pressing ‘The Gypsy King’ about his two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, retirement talk, and Deontay Wilder’s past cheating accusations.

For a returning Tyson Fury, those questions were always going to surface during the buildup to the next fight. But John Fury clearly was not in the mood to entertain them. According to a report by The Independent, the 60-year-old began ranting at Froch, who was present as an analyst. The situation escalated when he encountered veteran BBC reporter Steve Bunce backstage, leading to a heated exchange in which Fury shouted, “What are you looking at?” with Bunce calmly replying, “I’m your friend John.”

Once the incident made its way online, fans quickly voiced their reactions. Many called for John Fury to be held accountable, while others criticized the repeated outbursts.

One fan quickly chimed in and wrote, “He needs to apologise to Buncey, bloody disgraceful.” Another user echoed a similar sentiment, adding, “That man needs medical help.” Then, another dragged Tyson Fury into the discussion, writing, “I can’t be the only one who gets embarrassed on behalf of Tyson.”

Well, ‘Big’ John Fury has been involved in many confrontations throughout his life, but Tyson Fury has never fully apologized on his behalf. However, the former heavyweight champion’s father did issue an apology after headbutting a member of Oleksandr Usyk’s team during a face-off.

Continuing the wave of backlash, another user wrote, “He should be banned from any boxing event; everyone is bored of his act now.” After that, another fan questioned Fury’s repeated behavior, writing, “Why does he always pick one of the smallest or oldest, or both.” But interestingly, another fan added a humorous twist, posting, “Where is @darrentill2 When you need him 😂”

For those unfamiliar, John Fury was involved in a heated altercation with Darren Till ahead of the ex-UFC star’s boxing match against Tommy Fury. After ‘The Gorilla’ made remarks about Fury’s son’s IQ, the situation quickly escalated, which is why some fans now look back at the moment with amusement. However, that was not the only comment fans found comedic.

Another user wrote, “Dillian Whyte thought Big John was stood in front of a mirror,” reminding everyone of the classic troll pulled by Dillian Whyte a few years ago. During a weigh-in interview back then, ‘The Body Snatcher’ joked about John Fury and veteran journalist Steve Bunce looking alike. Fans revived that meme once again after the latest confrontation.

That said, as John Fury has once again found himself at the center of controversy following an altercation with a journalist, do you think he has crossed the line this time? Let us know in the comments section below.
