It’s been some time since the announcement of the fight, and the consensus about it has remained the same. Fury would beat Ngannou effortlessly, and that might explain the disinterest among folks surrounding the upcoming fight. To add a cherry on top, the announcement of Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk stole the spotlight. So, in an effort to create interest around the impending clash, the organizers in Saudi brought in Ronaldo. However, the reactions from the fan base indicate the effort fell flat on its face.

Fans claim ‘Saudi got too much money’ before the Tyson Fury fight

As soon as the promo dropped, the boxing world collectively found it odd that the organizers decided to bring in a football player. While some expressed indifference to the fight, others remarked about Ronaldo’s involvement.

One user compared Tyson vs. Ngannou to Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor. The user claimed that the organizers had to involve “Random dudes” to promote the fight. But all Floyd and McGregor had to do was show up for the fight.

Another user had the same opinion and highlighted that Ronaldo is the most followed personality on Social Media. It’s worth mentioning that Ronaldo has over 607 million followers on Instagram.

The next user decided to speculate about the amount of money the organizers must have paid Ronaldo for the promo. The user claimed that Saudis have a lot of money, and the promo must have cost them millions.

Someone else remarked that folks have zero interest in the upcoming bout, so the organizers had to involve a personality like Ronaldo.

While most comments emphasized the lack of interest in the fight, one user came in support. The user claimed the Fury vs. Ngannou fight would be the biggest boxing event since Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III.

Most folks in the boxing world have labeled the fight as a cash grab and Fury as the winner before the fight has even begun. However, only time can tell if Ngannou can cause an upset and prove his worth to the boxing world on the 28th of October. What about you, do you think Ngannou can win? What did you think about the promo?
