The news came after his fifth son revealed he would be going through an open heart surgery. As one would expect, fans showered his son with well wishes.

Eleazar Evan Holyfield, Evander’s son, is a professional boxer, just like his father. The 25-year-old boxer has eleven wins and one loss in his professional boxing record. A while ago, Evan revealed that he would be going under the knife for an open heart surgery. The news came as a surprise to fans as they sent their wishes to the young boxer. However, Evan took to Instagram recently to share post-surgery updates that brought relief to his fans.

Heartwarming support from Evander Holyfield’s son

In a recent Instagram post, Evan gave a recent update on the mental and physical challenges post-surgery. He described his gratitude for the love and support he received from his fans. Reflecting on his recovery, Evan said that he had made significant improvements in the past five days after surgery. However, he explained that daily life is still not quite normal, as walking, eating, talking, and other regular activities are still painful. Despite all of this, Evan finds motivation from his goals for the future. Evan described the lesson he learned from the experience as not taking the smaller things in life for granted. When this post went live, fans came in droves to offer their well wishes in the comment section.
