Keyshawn Davis exuded confidence from the start, believing fellow Olympic silver medalist Denys Berinchyk wouldn’t last long against him. When fight night arrived, ‘The Businessman’ backed up his words in dominant fashion, overwhelming the Ukrainian and sealing the deal with a fourth-round knockout.
The 25-year-old fought like a trainer’s dream, and Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre knew it. Renowned for coaching former undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford—who, by the way, is set to face Canelo Alvarez in September—BoMac has helped mold Davis into a rising force. Both Crawford and Davis sharpen their skills at B&B Boxing Academy in Omaha, Nebraska.
Regardless, after Keyshawn Davis’s fight, reporters from Fight Hype surrounded ‘BoMac’ to get his thoughts on his pupil’s performance. “He did a great job, man. He listens, he was patient,” ‘BoMac’ said without skipping a beat. This led the reporter to press the trainer about the question everyone wanted an answer to.

The Davis duo has been going back and forth on social media and interviews, taking shots at each other. Keyshawn Davis, of course, has called for a fight against ‘Tank’ on several occasions like every other rising prospect.
Despite all the callouts, Gervonta Davis has refused to give the 25-year-old a fight. However, now that Keyshawn Davis has secured the WBO title things might change, and ‘BoMac’ seems ready for the challenge. Speaking to the reporter, the trainer answered, “You know what, I don’t care who he going up against. He’s going to be well prepared just like he was tonight.”

Shakur Stevenson is set to face Floyd Schofield Jr. on February 22. Meanwhile, Davis is preparing for his next fight against Lamont Roach Jr. on March 1 at the Barclays Center. While Tank remains unbeaten, Crawford believes Stevenson and Keyshawn have the skills to change that. However, ‘Tank’ Davis’ behavior doesn’t indicate he is interested in taking this kind of risk.
