Ryan Garcia and Floyd Mayweather have had their fair share of verbal battles in the past, mainly because of Mayweather managing Garcia’s long-time rival Gervonta Davis. Notably, the Flash has been calling out Davis for a fight for a long time now, but the two are yet to face off.

However, Garcia could have once fought another one of Mayweather’s proteges, Rolando Romero, back in 2019, if Mayweather had accepted his million-dollar demand.

When Gracia made a million-dollar demand

Back in 2019, Garcia could have faced off in a showdown with Rolando Romero if Mayweather agreed to his demand. Money had already previously made The Flash an offer of $200,000 if he manged to beat Romero and Garcia stated that he would accept it on one condition, that he would receive a million dollars from Mayweather if he manages to knock out Romero along with the $200,000.

If Mayweather would have agreed to this counter-offer by Garcia, we could have had The Flash take on Romero, which would have also increased his chances to get an eventual fight with long-time rival Gervonta Davis.

If a fight between the two ever took place, Garcia would certainly have an advantage over Romero. Rolly is a good boxer who can use his big frame to control the fight; however, Garcia has more speed and better head movement than Romero, which could pose a lot of problems for him. Moreover, his flaws were exposed in his fight against Gervonta Davis where he got knocked out by Tank in the 6th round.

Garcia will now take on Dominican boxer Javier Fortuna in his next fight. However, he could take on Romero in the future before eventually taking on Gervonta Davis.
