On January 7th 2023, after over seven months, Gervonta Davis will make his return to the ring. He will face the undefeated boxer and the current WBA World Super Featherweight title-holder, Hector Luis Garcia, in this upcoming fight. This fight will make an appearance on the Showtime PPV and will reportedly cost $74.99 per view.

While ‘Tank’ is 28 and has a record of 0 losses and 27 wins, Luis Garcia is 31 and has so far fought 16 professional fights in boxing. Although Luis Garcia is a title-holder with a WBA belt currently embracing him, a group of fans feel that Luis Garcia vs. Davis does not qualify for the prestige and privilege of a PPV fight.

The boxing world trashes the upcoming fight of Gervonta Davis

As soon as Showtime announced the PPV price for Hector Luis Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis, the boxing world took to Twitter and offered their castigating opinion about it. In a direct comment, a user asked why the fight was on PPV. According to them, “joke” is the best term that describes this upcoming fight of Davis.

In a similar tone, a user claimed that the fight was “straight outta floptown”.

However, one declared that they would not pay for this “BS fight”.

According to one, one would be dumb to pay for Luis Garcia vs. Davis. In addition, they stated that Davis needed to make fights that were actually worth paying for.
